It is interesting we are heading down this path and targeting US bridges again, this was done years ago, although they envisaged the aerospace industry as their prime business.
If you do a quick calculation of the 54000 old bridges that need maintenance. Let’s say the transport authority do an uptake of say 10% of old bridges which equates to 5400 bridges multiply by say 5 sensors(approx) per bridge multiply that by say $1000 per sensor= $27,000,000.
Not a bad return on the side from the aerospace industry once all approvals are through.
All hyperthetical but the mind boggles at how big SMN will be one day.
