Ok it's not a plastic bag ban and it's a maneuver by the shopping centers to make more money
Ho humm so what that's what business do, BTW originally you where complaining it was about slowing you down at the check out, Did you resolve that? start using the self serve check out.
Some examples of business ripping people off if you want to call it that
Down size a chocolate bar but charge the same price
2 less tim tams in each pack price of pack stays the same
Reduce size of beer stubby from 375ml to 335ml charge the same price
Nail brewing changed to using cans for their beer instead of bottles, cheaper for them but I prefer glass
United airlines save $40K per year by removing one olive off each meal
Your lucky to get two drinks on a qantas flight these days
Pff if we kick up a stick every time a business does some thing to cut cost and increase profits we would have little time to enjoy life.
BTW as I said in another post, yes there is still plenty of plastic packaging being brought home from the shops how ever the removal of single use plastic bag will have a decent impact on the amount of plastic going to land fill. In my case alone over the I have not thrown out 6 of those bags per so 24 past 4 weeks
Now do the sums for how many less plastic bags are going to land fill
