CVIs, metals/diamond business seems pretty easy to understand. But I can't see the full picture on where the oil arm of the business is going. I cannot connect the refinery plans with what is obviously an ambitious programme to acquire what is potentially very lucrative, but expensive to develop offshore oil fields. I had first thought that the $100 m finance facility was going to be used to put the old producing fields in Kwanza back into production, but now I am not clear what the money is going to be used for. Obviously the bankers would not be keen on them using it for wildcat drilling on their offshore acreage, the bankers would want to see a profitable and low risk business case put forward.
Just my musings. Along with a number of other shareholders no doubt. Interested in your views?
