    Sorry to be blunt but your take on it is a little silly.

    They had no trouble getting $30m from "normal channels", including Canopy Growth Corp, and the SPP for another $8m is an act of goodwill to keep retailers happy. Nothing deceptive or "fishy" going on but not a great offer for punters.
