I would like to apologise to charlatans everywhere for my careless application of that word to Mark Bouris. I understand the shame and disgust that ordinary charlatans must have experienced as a result of being placed on the same level as this man.

I unreservedly withdraw the term "charlatan" with regard to Mr Bouris. When I find a suitable word that doesn't violate the "profanity" guideline on Hotcopper, I will post it.
