RIO and BHP are considered to be moderately high alumina at 2-2.3% for their blends, the heavily discounted Mesa stuff from Robe is off the scale at 2.75%. I recall seeing a chart some years back and it was by far the worst of the significant producers. I would expect UMC to be around 1.8-2.0% for a good marra mamba

4% Alumina on ship doesn't stack up, even in a world where customers are a bit more accepting of the impurities. As I posted earlier, I just don't get it. Beneficiation feed yes, but not saleable product. Maybe there is a misunderstanding
