I also held MEL during the NSW coalbed methane fiasco, sold out at a loss and very recently bought back in primarily for exposure to the upcoming SM-74 drill, coupled with MEL's share buy-back strategy and Directors buying. Having compared Byron's SM-71 seismic over the oil discovery with the recently published seismic data over SM-74, I'm encouraged by how similar they look, and am especially buoyed the amplitude cut-offs at SM-74 paralleling the depth structure contours (possibly indicative of a hydrocarbon contact); maps shared below.
