Interesting post Clen&Tren. They may b taking the slow & steady approach, as this is a new discovery well.
What that means is one would deepen the Well & open the new formation past the last reported depth & then stop to run logs, MDT, SWC's etc to suss out any shows, OWC etc for the deeper Sands. This is entirely up to their WSG's & Operations team discretion & they can update the mkt when there's new info on hand.

Full suite of logging data helps in volumetric calculation including gas oil ratio &/or any water gradient to establish possible water drive(?) for this field. They do not have a full core for the Caley so not sure if they plan to sidetrack this &/or do a flowtest. Need more details in their next few update.

Poro/perm at D-1 updip location are totally different to what they had in the Caley at Roc. Porosity of 20% & Permeability were mentioned in the ASX update. Finder's earlier presentations had porosity around 18% updip from Roc location. These reservoir properties r useful when flowtesting a well be it oil or gas. I hope commonsense prevails & they decide to appraise this discovery. Dont know if another Company has the rig booked out yet.
