But it is happening right across the market, especially for anything with gold exposure. My guess is that a lot of the instos are expecting that Au will peak very soon, and they are looking at US dollar strength as the bellringer. Why else has our dollar fallen last few days? This really is just a guess though, but it does explain why it is such a widespread feature today. The banks by comparison don't look too bad at all.
