the tenor of my convo was very much the same. Wildcatting is VV unpredictable but:

allowing for the fact that AMU appear to have enough shows behind the pipe to cover costs on the the well, everything pretty much matches the pre-drill geology, the gas shows appear to be consistent over a very large width etc etc

personally I think while there are risks the overall "risk" on this well has probably shifted from one in 10 to 20 (of success) to more than 1 in 2 or greater than 50%.

This well has been more than 7 years in the planning.. and best of all.. if it does come in the field may be bigger by a factor of 5.. or at even greater depths 20 or 30.

Check the AGM pressie slides and you can see just how valuable this play may be.
