I had a look at NVX's recent presentation (19.06.2018), where they highlight the global opportunity in the battery market. The slide I am talking about is this one here:
Looks like all the action is in China. If it was not for Tesla, the USA opportunity appears somewhat ho-hum or insignificant.
Just wondering how it looks from a Chinese perspective to be dealing with a company that has a former USA Admiral and one of the best buddies of POTUS on the Board? How comfortable would we be to send such a company our latest batteries for testing and development? How safe would we feel is our IP in the hands of this business?
If it is too difficult to imagine how this might look like from a Chinese perspective, perhaps try to think of how comfortable an Australian company would think about its dealings with a Chinese company, whose Board members included a former Chinese admiral and a buddy of the Chairman of the Chinese politburo.
