The fact is though, those impoverished people in remote areas of the equator are not served by any of the local telcos. The reason is simple in that they are simply unprofitable. In light of all that then, to me, SAS never had a chance to begin with. SAS does not have the capability to provide their own internet unless they are prepared to invest billions of dollars to win spectrum auction and establishing sophisticated ground networks. SAS is not even global nor would the pearls be capable of fast big data transfers.

People need to realize that the whole SAS business model is nothing more than virtual mobile towers in the sky albeit with much lower capability. Nothing more nothing less.

From day one SAS has said that it will provide narrow band communication network suitable for IoT, M2M, personal voice and messaging.

They are not in the internet and big data business. Please DYOR
