Trading in and out is quite different from expecting something to happen, but then the odds are on no big news until Monday at earliest.
I hold even when I expect a retreat. All sorts of reasons I might not want to jump out and back in again, eg can’t move 20 mm shares in and out so easily.
You’ve got to accept that there are superstitious people, and these often create self fulfilment of their expectations. I am firmly enough grounded in fundamentals that I don’t expect the gap at 17 to be filled. But at 38 there’s a good chance imho.
