The WORD - John 1:3 - All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
I spent two years, pretty much focused on the first 18 verses of John The Greek in this area the word should be through, for the point I was making, in here it is irrelevant, hence I never changed it.

I can''t understand how you could have spent 2 yrs focused on John 1 and come to the conclusion that the use of the word through is irrelevant.
John 1:3 and John 1:10
state that the world and all things were made through the Word
Col 1:16, Heb 1:2 and 1Cor 8:6
state that it was through Jesus that everything was created
Your wife was right all along Jesus is the Word and through him and for him and in him were all things visible and invisible created
