Most on-line stock information services only provide the number of quoted stock. Most new listings (indeed most companies) have unquoted stock. The only reliable way to check a market capitalisation is to dig up the most recent quaterly cashflow report and check bopth quoted and unquoted shares and options on issue. Bear in mind, the unquoted stock cant be traded so whilst it impacts on the total value of the company, it isnt available in the marketplace.
