Sounds as though the people wanting the big bucks quickly are the ones that are having issues with MEO & hence, perhaps are the ones that have caused the heavy slide in SP.

The fact remains that there are bigger issues with the whole share market at the moment with plenty bad debt all over. You can bet your bottom dollar that shares such as MEO are being punished because of people being margin called all over the market place. Let's face it. If I needed to cash up, the first stock I would sell is MEO because I know that later things will come good. I'm fortunate that I don't borrow money to buy stocks but the pressure that must be on the average trader/investor to sell their stocks at the moment must be massive.

I do feel for those that have done things conservatively but to be honest, just reading some of these posts the last few days, there seems to be a few greedy people that are being a little unkind on MEO (myself included). As long as the negativity in the market place remains, the smart investor will not touch a stock like MEO UNTIL there is an announcemet with REAL substance, or the WHOLE stockmarket turns around. Personally, I'm a little cashed up at the moment & waiting to jump into some bank stocks WHEN & only when, I feel we have bottomed out. I'll just hang on to the remaining MEO shares I have, & then perhaps I'll throw some more dollars at MEO. Even if I load up again at 50 cents. At least one knows that it is on it's way back up!

So perhaps there are many more people like myself here just waiting on the side lines before they throw some serious money back in to MEO.
Until then, there is a real likelyhood that the SP may see 20 or even 15 cents because of everyone being too shy to get in.
Would this be an indication of the true value of MEO? NO way! But for those of us that are truly 'shrewd' & patient, there really could be some BIG money to be made on MEO at some later date if we had the courage to buy in at hese 'bargain'??? prices!

    Just my observation on things!
Cheers & good decision making to all!
