Cobalt is really on the nose at the moment , which I don't think is helping MTC . Like I've said before. I think this is all part of the cycle where the big players down play cobalt in the role of lithium batteries, then in a few months there will be a report come out saying how much of a shortage there will be for the next X-amount of years and cobalt will go through the roof.
Elon Musk's comments about already being close to having a cobalt free battery were strategic IMO. The "mad inventor" claims to have solved the cobalt problem and immediately the cobalt price tanks
He's saved himself 10s of millions from just a couple of tweets.
