Has Telstra pushed off it lows? It's last all time low of $2.55 was back in 2010. Some of the media and analysist that were screaming sell are a little mute at the moment. Telstra has bounced about 10% of its low of $2.60 but you would not find one news report about it. I expect the share price to slowly
drift higher till the announcement of the future dividend.
TLS has plenty of cash flow to play a 22cent dividend 2018-2019, it's main problem has been the delayed roll out of the NBN. The analysist yell that the dividend should be cut and extra funds reinvested in the business, the question is where in the business. BHP, RIO, WES, WOW and countless others have reinvested money that could of been payed out to shareholders only to waste on failed ventures.
TLS has sufficient funds to upgrade it's network to 5G at present, so as a guess I think that the dividend will stay at 22 cents for next financial year, to give Penn and the TLS board some breathing space, a cut now could lead to the share price testing new lows and hoards of angry shareholders demanding the resignation of Penn and the board. A steady dividend at 22 cents would lift the share price well above $3.00 and give TLS the opportunity to show what a game changer 5G will be.

    Good Luck
