after the bear raid is over of course they are happy to see the share price go north, but once again I emphasize that their game is acquiring lots of shares cheap and not lots of cash
their game comes unstuck when there are no day traders or weak hands (aka victims) following the price down (downward momentum) and then the spread becomes too large for them to buy back in
