The trouble is the share is dropping by more than the dividend and franking credit combined on every occasion and thus rendering yr investment and return void.
Spuz is right
Rc is right
Tb is right
My initial entry in 2010 has returned no capital gain and is actually a capital loss far outwaying the combined dividends payed since
Why?
Its the whipping boy of the asx.A shorters dream because of the liquidity. The share price is dictated by the ' free float 'which is to large
Twiggy crusade tho admirable to save the world would be better spent by soaking up an excess of shares which would b a benefit to all share holders including himself
The boards theory that dividends will fortify the share price hasnt worked and all its done is scare off investors as the volatilty far outways most investors risk profile and appetite
And lastly when i read the quarterlies im with Rc etc.I Skip the feel good stuff and look at the bottom line. The fluffy work force indigenous ratios, female participation and board room gender make up isnt returning me a dime on whats been a rollercoaster ride to nowhere
