My train of thought was prompted by the experience of having been involved with 2 large QLD O&G operations when they were acquired by a much larger overseas entity and I ventured to say…​

IMO this article is well worth a careful read...​

The closing paragraphs are based directly on comments from Galilee’s CEO Peter Lansom…​

Mr Lansom said the basin was drawing the interest of bigger players.​

“Everyone is focused on the east coast gas market, whether it’s large caps like Santos, Origin or Shell or the midcaps like Beach, Cooper and Senex,” Mr Lansom said.​

So Yes I see plenty of potential for a Galilee takeover.

One of the first questions I asked myself before investing in Galilee was “How tight is the share register” and the answer was pretty reassuring.
