Kirkland Lake Gold has awarded Veolia Water Technologies a contract to design and supply a reverse osmosis plant to reduce the chloride levels in the water stream at the Fosterville gold mine in Victoria.

The water treatment plant from Veolia will allow Kirkland Lake to continue meeting the conditions of the Fosterville operations licence in a sustainable way.
Kirkland Lake will implement the plant to treat mine water for reuse within the operation’s water circuit. Veolia will design and supply the plant to reduce chloride levels to below 500 milligrams a litre.
According to Veolia, the reverse osmosis plant will consist of multimedia and carbon filtration followed by primary reverse osmosis and reject recovery reverse osmosis.

Its unfortunate that Ionic, CLQ's minor partner, has been late in bringing its Graphene Membrane to the market.
It would have been a good project on which to " prove their product ".

I am just doing a little research to find out more using articles in Australian mining for reference;

Veolia will design and supply the plant to reduce chloride levels to below 500 milligrams a litre.

And discover that;

According to Clean TeQ, the Fosterville water treatment plant comprises an integrated precipitation and continuous ionic filtration process.The precipitation process removes arsenic and antimony from the water as a co-precipitate. The water is then treated by the DeSALx process to remove hardness, sulphate and other dissolved metals.

Obviously if Cleanteq did loose the contract for Fosterville mine because the Ionic filtration process is not ready, it creates doubt about other potential Cleanteq water projects.

Personally without checking investor relations I think both Veolia and Cleanteq both won the contracts, one for chlorine and the other for arsenic and antimony.
