I went down to the PCEC for the Care and Ageing Expo to see what SwanCare were saying about PainChek.

I asked a fair few people their opinions on the app and the consensus was that it looked very good but they wouldn't pay a cent to use it. I said they might have no choice if the aged care facility brings it in. It'll probaby be included in the cost. They weren't too happy about that.

Elderly gent: "Why do I need to tell a phone that I'm in pain. I'll do it myself!"

Me: "Because you won't be able to verbalise your pain. It's aimed at dementia sufferers who can't say for themselves how much pain they're in. Don't you think that this could be revolutionary for people suffering from pain that can't communicate?"

Elderly gent: "Sounds like a scam to me."

Well that conversation escalated quickly lol. I guess they want the benefits of something without having to pay for it, like most people. The monetisation aspect was always the part that left me wondering whether this would be a good long term hold. So far it has proved correct after I sold high. It's a long road ahead to get to cash flow positive.
