It is intriguing...but what has he actually said that is wrong?
It is not unusual to inform different markets according to what they may or may not be more interested in...and whilst material information must go out to everyone, the more intangible inference of what areas of the business to discuss...and when...are entirely somewhat more elective in nature.
Remember, Smyth was in the states at the time of this interview (I assume), no doubt pursuing meetings will all manner of groups he would be lining up for the big prize...including the likes of Tony Caplin (Panmure Gordon), who have an excellent record with special situation investments and the promotion thereof.
It may well be that Smyth was advised not to mention offshore just yet?
I assume the US exchange has a copy of the same announcements released on the ASX...as such, they would be well aware of the offshore "offer" as previously released.
But...I am speculating here of course.
Who really knows?
Certainly makes for an interesting journey...perhaps the sort not the flavour of many?
They will no doubt be the ones concentrating on everything but official ASX communications...and will fall by the wayside in a confused state of dweebesque dichotomastic self flagellation.
