Ok so you get 5% to issue a s249D Notice, who are you going to replace them with ?
Have you got alternate directors ( with appropriate qualification ready to step in to the shoes)
You may be cutting your nose off to spite your face.
And I would not call attempt to call a meeting that is around the AGM time.
The company has the power to select the date and time, and they will probably call it after the AGM, that way they will have an idea of the number of votes they can call upon for support and as director may have to stand for rotation, if that person is re-elected and you want him removed by the s249D meeting, then you will be wasting your time.
Its no good just giving them a kick in the pants IT COSTS MONEY and it may send the company into the red
