dave, when the third world was still the third world we had an advantage with technology. However the third world now has the technology, in some cases ahead of us, so what have we got?
Food still has to be produced at a price to suit the consumer, and for Australia freight is an added disadvantage.
I've often said that if all Australians worked as hard and as long as our primary producers do, for the financial returns they get, then Australia would be extremely competitive in any market.
But they don't do they.
Not yet anyway.
