We all knew financial stocks were under pressure.
This was especially evident in the case of MFS.
As I have said every ripple in the US market due to the subprime crisis caused a significant wave of sell downs next day in MFS.
That happened several times.
Those that held did so at their own risk - an obvious risk.
To this extent shareholders are to "blame" themselves.
What I am saying is that the "blame" for those who have lost in MFS is partly their own - they took that extra risk and remained long in the stock.
I am not saying the Board or management did not contribute but it's not 100% the Board's fault.
The comments on here just fire blame at the Board and for all sorts of reasons, many devoid of any logic or commonsense.
