But ya gotta admit, these guys have defied gravity for a long time. We have been treated to a masterclass in feathering your nest at the expense of the gullible. A modern day "The Emperors New Clothes". From the guys at the top who wove a story around a hollow business model and a range of dud products, to those who rode the wave and pulled out before the closeout, to the succession of skilled spruikers and those who milked the fluctuations in the dropping share price. A lot of people made a lot of cash, but only because a lot lost a lot.
It never looked sustainable and some seriously good operators were there to point out the flaws. The problem was some were in up to their nuts and did not want to hear.
In the end the lessons will be learnt by some while others will go on believing in the power of bullshit over substance.
Its been a great ride and one of the most entertaining threads on HC.
