What did you expect him to say? I guess I’d feel uncomfortable too in his place, if I were fully on top of my organisation in its here-and-now (at the high level that pertains to a CEO), but got grilled about a small payment issue that occurred several years earlier, when both systems and compliance procedures were probably not even resemblant of what they are today. Do you have any familiarity with the way a large financial institution works?
