the statement contained within the title of this thread is false. Hydrogen has significant advantages over fast ev charges and by extension lithium batteries. hydrogen when converted to amonia can be easily transported/ exported to other markets where it can be reconstituted into hydrogen.
As more solar comes online in the NEM we are seeing spot prices on the wholesale market at $0 in the middle of the day. shifting this excess solar to hydrogen storage makes sense.
