To bring this thread back to its original iron ore focus, I also read the same article as Chris Carter and agree entirely. For those interested in understanding more about the demand for high grade iron ore, I posted some comments under CAP - CAP - Demand and Premiums for High Grade Iron Ore
I don't have a geology background, but from what I can tell CAP and HAV's iron ore resources are both part of the Braemar Iron formation and are similar in the product they will produce and therefore what I have said about CAP also applies to HAV's iron ore interests.
If Gupta is looking to expand, it makes a lot of sense to take an interest in at least one Braemar Iron formation project as it can produce some of the best iron ore in the world. The question in my mind is which project or projects will he take an interest in. My picks are HAV and CAP based on size, location and in CAP's case, it stage of development, but there are some others. However, Gupta is a quick mover and could progress any project quickly.
