Hardball, The idea I had didn't involve any combined capital. Everyone trades their own money but the idea is to share and develop strategies and trading calls together. A think tank if you will. The idea's and trade calls would be confidential to members to use as they wish. Kind of like a live private version of this joint. Lets say my trading plan is working well today, then I would share with others and then tomorrow someone else plan works well so everyone uses that if they wish. Individuals trading decisions are there own but knowledge is shared freely. A combination of traders with different skills would be perfect. Imagine Prophets speed, Volt's experience, and everything in between. That would be my ideal setup and to be frank I wouldn't be to keen on participating on a shared capital project mainly because of the potential for conflict.

It could be achieved effectively over the net but ideally I would love to set up a "trading space". Overheads could be shared (i.e data/news feeds, rent, the expensive coffee machine etc) and would be more of a place to hang out than a place of work. Still the net idea has a lot of potential and would allow the regulars here to try something out. I'm keen to give it a bash.

Anyone got any suggestions for the best net technology to use? It would have to be based on a pretty flexible platform that allowed charts, voice or text and probably file sharing as a minimum. It would also have to be private, probably encrypted.
