maybe because the price to book is so low and the projected yield so high?
It would seem to me that its a real foolhardy play if they are looking to re-sell 8 percent onto the market at higher prices at sometime in the near future. the historical trading volumes have just been too low to support this - attempting placing large sell volumes will rapidly place downward pressure on the shareprice. so i favour your thinking that either 1. they know something about a windup price being substantially higher than current share price or 2. they are moving for some form of control.
makes the share much more attractive in my opinion
