Dude, being highly geared was the norm in a bull market which everyone expected to continue indefinitely and how everything was done. MFS was no different from any other company.

to blame the board etc using hindsight is great.

the shareholders including Scotty, all endorsed this.

And with hindsight you shouldnt have bought MFS should you. but it seems that the high leverage was not an issue for you when you bought or for scotty and friends when they got their shares.
