My son finished his masters @21, went straight into a career he wanted, and is making a bucketload more than me 8 years later
My daughter who is only 2 years younger, finished her double degree @21 and decided she wanted to go to Melbourne for a gap year and worked in a bar having fun for two years, met a guy and is now doing another double degree at uni
Both on HECS debts
She will probably get married within a year or two, then get pregnant and have kids
Another 10 years time, she will be earning bugger all, my son will be making a fortune
Guess what... They are both happy, but made choices
The gender pay gap myth is crap!!!
And don't even get me started on women who go to uni and study 'gender studies' or other artie fartie degrees and wonder why they don't earn as much as engineers, doctors, rocket scientists or pilots
Regarding your doctor referring you to a specialist... Sounds like she is smart, which is lucky for you.... In 15 years she will probably make more than you and I put together.... Unless she decides to enjoy life, get married and have a family
