The so called recalcitrant shareholders also happen to be people that are part owners of the company so they should be treated with respect. That comment alone makes it quite clear the angle you are coming from. What business person in their right mind would not want a higher valuation of the company - which would include a profitable return on her investment in terms of income generated via both business profits and capital gains.
