Absolutely right Yellowcake, and ClarkKent is spot on about those points in comparing Gold with cash currencies.

The need for Gold has kept it in a rising trend for a few years though, not as spectacular as phosphate and a few other commodities. If it maintains its long term trend, then am keeping a proportion with it.
