What the big deal with this. Cash funds in most super funds now give minimal or -ve returns now due to increase of fees most super funds introduced mid 2017. Just ask ING, Commonwealth etc.
The fellow who had his money in a cash fund for years should have known this if he cared to read his stmts or held it there for safety. He was nearing retirement anyway.
