Would be good to see some other comparisons which I can't (be bothered at the moment to) find on the internet.

How about also comparing the size of the US military to all other nations? How does the purchasing power of the US market compare to the rest of the world?
How about the size of their oil stockpiles? The comparison of the total internet and telecomunications traffic through the USA as opposed to through all other nations combined is interesting?

Who will step into their place? China? A United Europe?

Even if Finland has the most % science grad's there are plenty of US companies which can probably offer a better rate, working conditions and research facilities than, say, French or German ones.

Soon (or not so soon) China will be the biggest short of all time.
