"Beach Energy has seen its profits slashed in half after an aggressive buying spree, but the company is now well positioned to become Australia's next gas giant.
The company has seen net profit after tax fall 49 per cent in the 2018 financial year, from $388 million to 198.8 million due to its spending spree, after buying Lattice Energy for $1.6 billion. The company is paying out a fully franked dividend of one cent, payable on 28 September."
