    @peejay2,

    My two cents worth.
    I see it regularly where LIC ipo's tank as the initial euphoria dies off and the reality of waiting for investments to mature pushes out the impatient punters.
    Once carefully selected investments start to reap rewards and the manager starts to get runs on the board, this is when people flock back in and the price starts to rise. This sums up what has happened with GC1 in my opinion.
    I bought my initial bundle in the mid 90's and another stake at 87 cents. I'm more than comfortable holding for the long term and feel I have some insurance from a declining price.
    I spend most of my time looking for LIC's that I believe are under valued but primed to perform. I run a portfolio of about 80% long term investments and 20% medium term trading. GC1 sits in the 80%. I have found this strategy, combined with being patient has produced me very handsome returns.
