Not spin or conspiracy theory (IMO). Could be trader action but if it's traders they're not very good ones. Some of the movement may be day to day selling for whatever reason but it looks to me like unapologetic, bald faced manipulation. They're not even trying very hard to hide it. With that said it's not the end of the world, sit back and relax... It's just how the market works.

Share price dropping will not just trigger stop losses or panic/nervous/impatient selling, they're also trying to trigger margin calls. For example anyone who got too excited and went all in on margin last week will get a margin call today (or in the next bit if price goes down further) and if they don't have spare capital sitting around to cover the margin their shares will be sold from under them. Share price dropping will only stop if manipulators see they're loosing more shares than they're getting... and then they'll probably just push the price back up, get everyone excited again sell a few more shares and try again. It's what they do. You can't really beat them, best you can do is hold your own.

No one is trying to spin or make excuses for SP drop. We're all just trying to work out why it's doing what it's doing and sharing our thoughts. If you think company will succeed then current SP is cheap. If you think it will fail then current SP is expensive.

I think AGY is one of the most exciting stocks on the ASX and in general sentiment is that AGY will do well and is trading cheap at current levels all thing considered - so why the price drop? Obviously there are a lot of factors that affect price movement but AGY was trading at around 30c in May when the 'industrial grade vs battery grade', 'gas not turned on' saga happened and price tanked to low 20's. Then old mate dumps a bunch of shares to pay his builder or some BS (really?? WTF!) pushing SP down to like 16c, and now that builders are paid and BG is confirmed we can't even hold 26c. I call BS on that!
