Well, the vengeance of Abbott appears now almost complete. Abbott was so bad as PM that his own party had to remove him. Abbott has again proven himself as the master opposer, this time by wrecking his own party just for pathetic vengeance. Abbott may claim to be a conservative but it was never a conservative trait to simply wreck, especially your own team. What will Abbott’s legacy be? It won’t be kind to Abbott. At the moment it’s looking like Abbott will be remembered as the man that destroyed the Liberals just for his own petty vengeance against a far superior man, Turnbull. As an LNP voter, I cannot hide the disgust I feel for the flop Abbott who was given every chance to be a great PM but simply didn’t have what it takes. If Abbott (together with his advisor Credlin) had the ability to be even “half a PM” then the party would have not needed to remove him. It is indeed unfortunate that Abbott turned out to be a liar and flop and that the Libs had to replace him. Whilst some of the blind right wing extremist fringe minority Abbott followers blame Turnbull, the simple fact is that Abbott’s performance as PM was dismal and the party had no choice other than to replace him. And what’s left? Abbott feeling satisfied that he has almost removed Turnbull despite totally destroying the Libs in the process? A very hollow victory indeed if it succeeds! The extremist right wingers should hold their heads in shame for supporting the wrecker and master opposer Abbott.
