Dude, I've been holding this stock since 2014 and directors have been selling down a few hundred thousand, or even a million shares here 'n there since... 2014. Yes, they sold shares at around 75c, then more at a dollar something, then more at two dollars something, then more at three dollars something etc.
What also happened almost every time they sell is someone comes on HC, freaks out "omg, directors are selling, I wonder why".
Well, I can tell you now that every single person who was at the other end of those transactions and bought those shares off the directors are well in the money.
Nothing wrong with directors managing their portfolios and trying to get some diversification. You don't need to be all-in to have incentives and skin in the game.
