A recentcosting for a 132 kV line from Kempsey to Port Macquarie came in at $28-$48 million range for a 43 km distance.

Big variables are the capacity of the line and commodity costs for aluminium, steel and copper. DC should be substantially cheaper but you would want a very high capacity line. $1m/km sounds closer to the mark for me but interested in any other opinions or if the company has released cost estimates?
