China has that regulatory imperative to get 10% of rural wastewater treated to 70% by the end of the 13th FYP (2016-2021). It’s a one time opportunity. No other country has the force of political will to make it happen. Not India. Not even the USA.
Their competitors in Suez and Oxymem did not latch on this China opportunity because they made their beach head with utilities and with markets in Europe and the US.
The game game plan is to leverage the penetration of Aspiral in rural China and Asian markets to SUBRE in the retrofit market of the western markets. That’s the reason why they went with China
