Big Fella
No, the clear Russian connection in AVO does come through Pala. Look at the background of Pala's execs. Marc Rich lives in ZUG and is a major shareholder in Xstrata and formerly Glencore. He's a multi billionaire. Pala has substantial mergers and acquisition experience and an unusual link with Russian companies and business personalities. I'm sure your right and that any takeover may involve a Russian company taking a position in Australia with a well managed entity possessing bags of local knowledge and experience. IMO, a takeover cannot be far away. It would be pointless to wait until AVO is in full scale production and the gold price any higher than it is now. Pundits are calling for the gold price tumble over the remainder of April and May so this may offer any predator an unusual opportunity.
