I think you'll find it is bit more than "conjecture"
When politicians open up an issue they are looking at changes, otherwise they wouldn't bother.
Also Rudd is a smart politician. He would have done the numbers and I can assure you people who will benefit from a tax free break over 60 will be on a hiding to nothing.
I think it is inevitable that the tax break will be trashed.
