Your point about borrowing beyond ones ability to repay is true.
But it is also evident that the business model of lending to people to buy shares (people who obviously have the expectation of those shares increasing in value) & then lending those shares to a 3rd party for the expressed purpose of driving the share price down, is obviously a gross conflict of interest at best and a possibly a total failure in the duty of care
