Strong sales growth reported by Billabong (BBG) distributor, Pacific Sunwear, has provided further evidence that the US surf apparel market continues to perform strongly. Weakness in the BBG share price due to currency risk has seen to stock trade at a significant discount to Macquarie Research Equities (MRE) valuation of $8.12. BBG shares closed at $6.92 on Friday.
